The Department of Management Information Systems was established according to the decision of the Supreme Council of the University in its twentieth session held on 07/30/1404 AH, and the study was organized with it at the beginning of the first semester of the year 1404/1405 AH. The department applies international quality standards in designing its academic programs, as it seeks to provide students with knowledge of how to invest information technology to support, coordinate, analyze and control administrative decisions. The department is still academically supervising female students of the College of Applied Studies and Community Service in the "Computer and Information Systems" program. The department is currently working on developing a postgraduate program, which is expected to be launched in 2021-2022 AD, and is working to obtain Saudi academic accreditation NCAAA

Management Information Systems Program

The Department Currently Offers Two Major Tracks/Pathways Which Are:

1. Business Data Analytics

    Business data analytics are practices and processes that apply different techniques and procedures to inspect, clean, transform and model business data with the goal of discovering useful information business to provide conclusions that help improve decision-making processes. This concentration focuses on understanding the fundamentals of business analytics and its various applications, and the different tools used to analyze and manage data within organizations.

2. Blockchain Enterprise Systems

    Blockchain technology is a joint database or a public ledger that stores data of all transactions that have been executed and shared between multiple computers in different locations. These records are stored in a way that is non-erasable, which gives a permanent record of data for businesses.

     This concentration provides the fundamentals of blockchain technology. It also demonstrates how blockchain relates to current information systems and provide insights into the development of blockchain-based systems.
